Jim,
I have to agree with Richard that the original is lovely but to achieve what you do you must practice I suppose - anyhow - you present a consistent voice and that is much more than I can say for myself. ;)
This one reminds me of a moonlit night.

Jim, how about putting a black line around the image, I have found it helps when there is water going to the edge. It doesn't have to be a thick line, I remember in the darkroom having to make masks so I could expose the print edge, very time consuming, in PS the stroke command does it in seconds. A very lovely image, I actually prefer the original, but if you hadn't shown it I would have loved the blue one. Best regards - Richard.

Still in your blue phase, huh? :) Good for the fence, because the sharpness is really good, Jim. Composition is also very good with the diagonal line. I do find the water a bit over-exposed though.

You must have amazingly steady hands! There is precision in the texture in the image, and something about it suggests many other things - just as you can see many things in clouds, I see many things in this image. Cheers!

Hello Terry:
Unfortunately, for some reason, the EXIF exposure info gets stripped out of my working files. But since this is a slow shutter speed project, I probably should be precise.
I went back and checked the EXIF on the original RAW image. The shutter speed on this was 1/6 sec. and the f/stop, incidentally, was f/19. The ASA was 100 and while it was a very bright, clear spring day, the little rivulet was in diffuse shade with some direct sunlight hitting the scene.
Hope it's a similar day for you today in Nova Scotia. Now get out there and shoot.
FYI: Here's the original.
Best, Jim

Well it does look good to me... Good job with the Photoshop again...Oh in case you didn't know...I think you should be able to click FILE then IMAGE INFO..then go to EXIF data nad it will tell you all the details about shutter speed etc. Great flow to this one here Jim!
