I've always been under the impression that insects are more peaceful in the morning and evening when there is less heat. Not very scientific though, and I guess 44degC is extreme anyway.

WOW. You're raelly getting some magnification going with that equipment Felipe. DOF is quite large for this one too.. only starts becoming blurred along the corpus. Looks like the eye detail is too fine to resolve though, too bad.
How close were you and how come it didnt fly away?
