Great job. I agree with most of the comments that the harsh highlights really works for this shoot. I enjoyed all of your shots of ths animal, but I think this one says the most because of the depth, and the mood that is set by the harsher shadows. Keep it up. Adam.

I like the less saturated version a little better, mainly because I can identify with looking into the sun and having a loss of tone. The back lighting is great!
Really nice job, David.
Please feel welcome to come to the next Chicagoland Usefilm Get Together!

David, I think the highlights on the edge of the cat are really nice. Makes for a different look to the cat. You did a great job of getting food exposure on the cat in difficult lighting.
My only nit, is there seems to be a magenta cast to the image. Do you have P/S or an image editor that could correct that?
Overall very well done, congratulations!!

Dave,
I like the "hot spots" on the fur; it gives a nice contrast to the dark, and it's not too hot, or too much, that it's distracting. I agree with Chris about sharpening it up a bit.
I thought you gave up on photography! Glad to see you posted a shot (FINALLY!)

Dave,
Very nice capture here, as you said the lighting was harsh but not all that bad. Needs to be a bit sharper but I know your working on the :-).
Well done.

Actually, I think you made the lighting work for you! The edge lighting of the leapord's fur is striking in it's effect. The indistinct (Another leapord?) object at the left is distracting. In my opinion it would look better if you cropped that out and cropprd a little off the right and made it a vertical composition. However, it's a very good photograph.
