About Taken while cycling in the early morning in south-west France. The fields went on for miles - I just carried on until the sun was breaking thhough the mist and then stopped to take the photo.

I tried one with a horizontal format but this worked better as you can see both the overall landscape and the details of the rich green foliage of the foreground plants.

Interesting perspective. It almost feels like the field is breaking away from the viewer.

Now THIS one really brings a smile! All those 'faces'! At first I thought this was done digitally, but I see it isn't, I have NEVER seen a field full of sunflowers.

I like this one, and I like the vertical!

Lori :)

Johathan, first I want to honestly thank you for bold opinion on my photo of "Vision of Beauty". Mabye it needs a name change. However, it's intension was at the technique of lighting of the photo. And eventhough she is then, her personal self is strong ( that her beauty).

Enough on that, your photograph is an excellent example how one can be drawn into a photo. The depth of field make me think of what lies beyond the mist. I imaging more sunflowers. Beautifully done. Also, it looks like the ones in the front are in shame while all the rest look upon them. " I think I am looking to hard into the photo. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome. What a first image! This is wonderful. I love the distant mist, the strong colours and the 'pose' of each flower. Unfortunately the foreground flowers are slightly soft in focus but that's definitely forgiveable ...and easily forgettable. Looking forward to seeing more from you - consider yourself watched!

Jonathan; this is absolutely outstanding. I love this kind of photo, ie agricultural crops-- but beautiful too. Your choice of perspective is excellent and sharpness from near to far is great. Color saturation is beautiful and all the sunflower faces turned toward you makes them look sort of like an audience. This is deserving of some kind of award. Cheers. Craig

Great shot. I really love the fog. Excellent composition as well. Would have prefered that the flowers in the forground were sharper. Very nice first posting :) Welcome
