About I was going for natural framing on this shot... I set it up for the 2 trees to be the side frames. I was also going for as much symetry from this size of a shot as possible. while it may need some work, I think I got pretty close.

As for the "Alone" project, I feel that graveyards are one of the lonliest places around...

Brad: Al was illustrating a point, not actually directing those comments at you - a misunderstanding!!!!

I don't find a problem with the composition, the road takes us right into the image and then has us wander around, with the graves a subtle subject tying into your title of the image (if that makes any sense!)

What I do find affecting the image a great deal is the quality of the light. photographing great images is all about waiting for ideal light and it looks to me like this is a sunny hazy day which tends to affect color saturation and mood. IF you can get back here, go early morning or early evening, or when there are dramatic clouds. Also, are you using a tripod to ensure sharpness?

Thanks, and I agree, the foreground is boring, and the photo does nothing. This image came from when I was working on the "framing" using natural objects, in this case, the trees. Luckily, I can revisit this place and try again. I will probably try and capture a car or person and "ghost" them. I am working on that technique now.

Hello Brad, I'm a little surprised many viewed this image but left no comments till....now that is!
You've captured the scene fine with colour shades, details and shadows all very clear.
IMO, the picture itself lacks interest - probably adding a person or something interesting in the FG may help strengthen the composition?
