It does look like a hip shot (literally). I like the intensity, and the small hint of what is up and what is down, just a slight connection to reality.

thanks for your thoughts. I'm still a bit puzzled myself about this one, and it is interesting to get reflections on it... :) Easier for me, since I know what has been photographed...

Christian,
I've been looking at this for awhile and it looks like stuff that I've taken and liked but never really known what to do with...there is something outside the realm of criticism in this image that pulls at me - something that only the best abstracts do = most abstracts seem to be intellectual endeavors and this seems to avoid that but still doesn't seem quite finished so to speak which leaves me wanting more but not knowing what that more is...
