Hi Ken, I still find the photo unbalanced. You have three strong elements that pull your eye to the left: The cattle, the clouds, and the slanted horizon. The right side is, true to your title, "Wide Open Space". ;) cheers
I found that a panoramic crop made by taking away sky from what's here reduces the "wide open spaces" feel. The original slide has more space to the right, but it's empty of cattle and so unbalances the picture. You're certainly right that if it were available, a more panoramic picture would have a better feel. I don't believe in mumbling a bunch of excuses, I believe in stating them forthrightly!
Cool! The yellow/blue combination is very eye-catching and the cattle are nicely spread to organize the negative space around them. I can see what you are doing here with the sky. But I'd like to suggest you try a panoramic crop for a more abstract, half sky/half land shot.
