The bears (Bären) are everywhere in Berlin. At this place - near the 'Brandenburger Tor' there are many of them standing in a circle, where each bear stands for a country. The red thing is from ... maybe Pakistan - not sure.
When I was in Berlim last Winter, my 3 year old son wanted to take a photo standing next to every of this bears that he saw! And he saw a lot, altought not this scene. I think my kid would go crazy with so much together in one place!
Correct me, if I'm wrong, but the bear is the symbol of Berlim, and the city placed many of this bears, everywhere, with diferent colors, sometimes with a meaning, sometimes not.
As I understanded it, it's just a "thing" to give some color to the city scape.
Thanks for bringing back some good memories!
About the photo, it's a great perspective, with good use of DOF, and nice colors. With a really blue sky and some light in the trees in the background, it would be brilliant...
