I haven't understood yet why some landscapes look much interesting in B&W. I myself was experimenting with this idea. And, yes, from a simple nice landscape they become more, carrying some subliminal message. Your work is excellent. I find the contrast and the excessive darke of the trees and ground to add more dramatism.
