I've unravelled the mystery! I am glad it is a pinhole and not the New Jersey air ;) I love this camera and your eye together. It's amazing what's out there, isn't it? And so much more beautiful to me when it gets very subjective and moody and begins to tell that "other" story.
Now I guess I will have to sit here and wait for more . . .

An interesting multi-picture idea, John. But it makes me wonder why you did this in the first place? Aren't these images -- on themselves -- good enough for a presentation one by one? Hmm. I think they are... Generally, I find it interesting that you hold the camera quite low above the ground so that we see the pavement -- adds a certain dynamic.

The collection will steal me to the tiny town of rockaway borough, but I am not so sure about collecting this unique images. For me the lower-right-image works perfectly as a pinhole ? I like it a lot. M.

Yes... back to basis. I know how it feels, when I (rarely) use my Holga camera: very nice composition... I agree with Peta: they are so timeless!
Thank you for your flattering comments to my photos.

John, it looks probably the same as many years ago...these images have that timeless quality. I looked up the camera, it's very cool! My daughter just yesterday said I said take classes at college in the fundamentals of film photography, learn the origins, develop my own. Some day! Thank you for your lovely comment, very meaningful to me.

John,
I particularly like the upper-right image and the lower-left image.
Earlier this year I experimented with a home-made pinhole and very much like the results but at this point in my life, I can't afford the time it takes me to work with it. However, for Christmas I will be getting a pinhole bodycap for my cameras. I hope it doesn't lose to much of the pinhole quality when used on such technically strong cameras...I like the effect of a good pinhole.

sometimes you have the feeling you can photograph EVERYTHING and its ok ... if a montage (I think they could stand alone, too) why not four of the building in the upper two frames? As going around the place, they would interact more ...

Especially the two upper images have a terrific interaction. It feels like I am walking in that street. You turn still images into a roadmovie.

Beautiful work, John. I'm sure you did a lot of traversing and searching for the best angles and locations. Each image can pretty much stand on their own, I think, but in this summation, the character of the town is more evenly felt because of it.
