About	One of my efforts to use PS7 to restore an old photograph. Comments will be appreciated. Scanned using a CanoScan D660U flatbed scanner in grayscale mode at 450 dpi with preliminary level adjustments in scanner. Subsequent cleaning and restoration in PS.

I think you did a very good job here! I remember now that I still have some pictures from my grandfather in a drawer... They are very small, wrinkeled, and bleached out, but your post gives me encouragement to try some PS resotoration as well :)

Hi, I have to do a lot of this restoring-jobs (I'm publisher of a financial magazine) when people send me their old passport-photos. In Your picture I don't see anything to make it better. If You need some (cheap) tools for better sharpening, reduce noice or recover shadows go to http://www.fredmiranda.com. They sell excellent working plugg-ins for Photoshop.
