Phil, this is an awesome shot! I enjoyed your entire portfolio. All your landscapes have a broad sweeping almost majestic quality to them. You have a good eye for capturing that part of nature that is always there but few people see. Good work.

Hi, thanks for the comments. It's not the film grain that makes it look like that, it's just the low resolution of the scan. It's just habit to scan photos at low res since I have limited space on my personal website.

THis has a very painterly feel to it.... almost an oil painting or watercolour. The suggestion I have is to use a Graduated Neutral Density filter on the sky so that the clouds aren't so blown out in the top right. Everything else about this image is calming and peaceful. (although I agree with the grain... does the print have a lot of grain, or is it a scanning issue?)

Well, Phil, it's a really great image you did here. The colrs are just fine, and that sky, with the yellow streaks, is perfect. But there seems to be quite a lot of noise in the image. Maybe you could try to rescan it.
Anyway, a very interesting image.
