The mount is in "Val di Mello" ... a Valley near Sondrio in North Italy and its name is "Monte Disgrazia" ... an unhappy name (it's like Accident Mount ...)

oh woww I get quite emotional seeing this...that building is the national trust place. there is a little deer museum in there. my house was further to the right, at the head of the loch, by the phone box, not far from the posh hotel, in Annat. It was a guest house. I also had an old barn which was actually a real old blackhouse. Those were the days.......nostalgia......In my last trip west i went to Handa, further North. Really pretty. Pity most of the birds had already left, apart from a few spitting fulmars.
