I love this so much i want to see more of it like the tip of the leaf; as they usually have such a nice curve or delicate point. thanks for commenting on my photo, this was a spur of the moment shot so no time for styling anyway KDove

Thank you Petra, Mary, Mathew, Steven and Dawna:)
Mary...the leaf I found on a walk and is very transparent for some reason. I had a reading lamp lighting it from the side. I held the leaf in the air so there would be no background and the light bright enough from the side that it sent the background dark. Devolping the print long enough allowed me to make sure the background would be black. aperatrue on camera was 5.6 at using the macro mode.
Steven thanks for the suggestion.

Chris:
Great stuff, wonderful detail. Cropping out the slightly blurred area on the left side of the frame might help.

Holy cow, Chris. This is wonderful. Is there a scan issue that causes a band of OOF on the left? The image looks fabulous and I'll bet the print is amazing...please tell how you set up this shot :)

I like the sybolism of how the leaf is from the tree yet the outline resembles a tree. Very nice work.-matt
