Beautiful admission of a sea-landscape. I find it good to recognize the difference between large and small. Greeting Gerhard

You had great lighting here, Donna! i have tried shots like this at the beach and end up with, uh, well, let's just say i couldn't find the delete button fast enough :)) i too love the rough rock pattern combined with the pastel sky but these alone wouldn't do it for me, it's the elegantly minimal composition provided by the the two rocks against the almost loving silkiness of the sky. Someone mentioned the sliver of beach giving it depth and that is true, but personally i wish there was just rock, sky and water. i realize you couldn't have done that without having the rock outcropping too low in the frame but in my dreams i will see this mysterious huge spill of rock tumbling into a voracious sea. Beautiful! regards: kat~

Hi Donna; Thanks for your kind comments-- and on my "quilt" pictures too. I pretty much agree with you-- they're really not "my kind of subject" either, but I was encouraged to upload a few to UF. I enjoy doing them for the quilting club each year. You have a good Thanksgiving too-- I plan to eat like a hog for once this year;>) Cheers. Craig

.... indeed it does, and this rock stands as a sentinel... watching as frivoulous men sail past searching for treasures and conquests while meaning is left behind. Maybe one day we will figure it out and stand still as rocks, like this, and be content.

I like this too Donna-- a minimalist landscape composition that appeals to me. The green vegetation on the rocks is nice, and the sliver of beach gives it depth. The smaller rock at the right end looks like a period at the end of a powerful sentence. Cool. BTW-- glad you like my flower pics, I enjoy your comments. Thanks and Cheers. Craig.
