Again beautiful color and lighting. I do think that I would crop from the right to about her shoulder. Another little beauty. Don.

Karen-- what a wonderful, wonderful expression, and the softness in this is perfect. And the sparkle in those eyes is almost breataking. The lighting is beautiful too. I see from the 3 ratings so far that some think the composition is a litte weak, and that was my initial reaction too-- maybe make a more conventional vertical or square out of this? Although I'm terrible at taking portraits, I recognize excellence when I see it, and that fits here. This is a wonderful photograph, and I'm putting it in my favs! Cheers. Craig.

Very nice photo. It will be treasured by her parents forever, I'm sure. Your niece is lucky to have such a talented Auntie! But somehow I'd like the composition to be "portrait" rather than "landscape," know what I mean?

Marcy, the lighting on this was with 2 strobes. One directly behind me and one to the left about 45 degrees. I added omni lighting in ps, which essentially puts some extra light on face and darkened dead space surrounding. It looks a bit odd on the screen, but prints beautifully.

Great little model! But a nice photo too. I am interested in the lighting here- or is this a PS technique (I have noticed this in the last few posts from you too)....what ever technique you are using I like it- it emphasises the subject and adds interest to the 'blank' space....neat!
