I like this alot. No the cropping did not seem to ruin this shot for me. I didn't read your about comment until after I looked at the picture and did not even notice anything at all wrong with the picture:) Due to the lighting? My eye was certainly focused on the front of the house and the tree to the right. I like this:)

I like this Les....interesting old house. There is a guy I saw on his personal site that uses colored strobes at night and long exposures to create great effects with subjects similar to this. I believe it is http://lostamerica.com This house would be perfect for that if it was safe to enter. Don't get me wrong..this is a very nice BW shot.
