I have a pair of A-1's and an AE-1P that I keep for a backup and have 11 lenses for the trio I am moving up to a 10D soon but I had all 3 cameras rebuilt last year and will continue to use them for years to come... :) Ron

It sure was a great camera when it first came out. Innovative LED display and lots of automation. And a fast motor drive to boot. Hope that it hasn't developed the dreaded shutter squeak yet.

Well so much for the sharpening. The auto resizing of the image I uploaded kind of mucked it up. Hopefully you know what I mean though.

This is a great shot. The title really helps provide the meaning and emotion behind it. I would recommend cleaning up the file in Photoshop or an equivalent though. I've uploaded a cleaned up image to show you the difference. The blackness of the body isn't quite there in the image you've uploaded. Adjusting the contrast and levels makes a difference although subtle to most. Also the file having been resized looks ever so slightly blurred so I ran your image through the unsharpen filter with a fairly low setting. Hope this helps. I'm jealous... would love to have a dSLR, but i'm patiently waiting for a reasonably priced full sensor dSLR from Canon.
