hmm - the dark suggested by Randy grounds it in reality - the white makes it more of a dream or ghost image...two different moods both valid and that leaves it up to the photographer's voice...the wild light in the horse's eye is perfect...

Thanks for the comments! I am always trying for something a little different, as I'm sure we all are. The dark fence idea is an interesting one Randy, though I like the softness of the original and think the translucence of the white fencing is critical. I don't do much with PS (yet?), only balancing and for tone here. This is a straight infrared neg toned towards sepia. Happy 2004!

Hey Tim, good picture, something a little different on here. As I looked at it, it made me wonder what the fence would look like if it was dark rather than light. I like it both ways, what do you think?
