About Spring IR can be beautiful without the dramatic but sometimes too obvious effect of full-leaf foliage. Thanks for looking and for telling me what you think.

Love this one Tim (might have opted for landscape formula (but great photo (all your pictures are very good)

This is a great handling of one of the "loners" Tim! Every time that I've been in Wisconsin I've been drawn to those lone trees that stand out in the fields. We don't have many loners in WA.! I like the long angle that you've taken this from and the darkness (vignetting?) around the top of the tree. You've used the rule of thirds perfectly! Way to go!

Beautiful tones and lines! I love how the sky is like a gradient and blends right in with the frame. Very nice work.

Tim - This really draws me in. I really like the total DOF and agree with the lighter border. Fine job on this one my friend!!

Cheers - Bill

Thanks so much for your comment, Gaja, I really appreciate the feedback. Contrast can be challenging with IR. I like the disconcerting light band in the center, but perhaps it is a bit much.

beautiful perspective and gorgeous tones! I think maybe the very light shade in the middle may be a bit too light, but besides that it's wonderful!

Mmmmmm....an 18% reflectance gray card would do.

Thanks for commenting, Mark. The unusual DOF seems to be an artifact of IR. I think that I agree about the frame. I must be feeling compressed these days as full black frames have been somehow resonating for me. Hmmm......

Very neat perspective and composition, Tim. Very nice IR, as well. Congratulations :)

I like the composition; the proportions of earth, tree, and sky. The DOF incredible at f/4, and it's so sharp and detailed. I'm not so sure about the black frame, though. It looks okay, but at times, it seems to swallow up the photograph. I wish there was something to make the photograph float above or over the black frame. Maybe a gray frame?
