this is my very first pic taken of a flower. When I saw it (the pic) it reminded me of you and your garden - that's why it is dedicated to you. And because of you, Mary Bell, Ada Dobre and Jeanne Wells from whom I've learned recently (but not too late) to appreciate the beauty of 'the simple things'.

Effective use of shadows in this shot. I think I might wish that the flower had a little more detail but still an effective shot.
While her style is a great deal different from yours Marion Luitjen often uses shadows with her florals and you might find them interesting.
