I always thought there was something not quite right with the picture and I think the "there's a big river coming out of nowhere" point is it.

Remarkably clear for being from a moving train! Good catch of this deep river canyon

I realise that there's nothing that could have been done about this, but my first impression was "There's a big river coming out of nowhere." There's something about the trees in the lower right that adds a touch of incongruity to the image.

But that's just me - a nitpick at best. All in all, a nice image.
