Hermen, this was my first shot on arriving at that river park. I was excited because of the quality of the light so I first acted quickly - trying to get the slowest shutter speed ( I had my tripod) to smooth out the movement of the water. F 7.8 is actually the smallest aperture available on that lens at that focal. 1/43 not being slow enough, I had to resort to filters, like a polarizer. By the time I mounted it, the light had changed, and I started to work on other available elements, like "Seminal Waters" where the shutter speed is much better for the so much sought after "silk effect".

Nice lighting and well composed. Did you also take shots with longer shutter time?

Beautiful, I like the way the light skims across the snow. You have achieved great detail in such a hard subject to photograph. Great interest in the rushing water. Don

A very nice shot. I'd like to see more light on the entire image. Great contrast.
