excellent composition and I like the tonal range of this picture. I see seagulls at my favorite photo-spot but have never actually been fast enough to change to a telephoto lens on my camera.

Thanks everyone! Peter, this is without any filter. This is the color that it came from the camera with the bare lens.
Rob.

Once again well done! I like the white lining of some of the clouds. Could you please let the cat out of the bag for me and let me know what filter you used (if any). I have tried a few similar ones, but it seems the filter i have is to dark/red.

Lovely image. Beautiful warm colours and I love the contrast the birds add to this image.

Thanks Hugo. There actually are more gulls in the shot as it was taken, but I felt they were spread out a little too far, and it got very dark out at the right edge of the frame.

Rob, I like the golden sky. The gulls make it quite a dynamic photo; Well composed; I think the liveliness of this photo is very good, but it would have been nice if the gulls had been spread out a bit more, filling the frame evenly. None the less a superb shot! my compliments!

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks everyone!

Jim; Thanks for the input, as I did try to help the contrast as it looked good to me. I see that yours even looks better. Thanks again.

Another excellent shot. Good job on the composition to leave room for the birds to fly into the frame. One thing to keep in mind with these types of shots is that often a contrast or level adjustment will help take away a bit of the over exposure revealing a little more detail. See the attached to see the difference.
