Craig, I can understand why Teunis wanted to crop out much of that tree on the left. It's a bit too prominent for a soft-focus background. It might have worked better if the DOF could have taken that in and rendered it sharper, but still left the building/roof nicely out of focus. Perhaps by using the selective softening tool? I recognize the problem is the leads? strings? that run down to the berries. The red of the berries, the blue of the sky, and the somber colours of the building are all beautiful, but I can't help feeling there's an even better photograph in there somewhere.

belle le bacche rosse..e anche augurali..
poi lo sfondo fa una buona cornice!
Si sto studioando abbastanza anche io in questo periodo; tra le altre cose le "Variazioni e fuga su un tema di Haendel" di Brahms e il "Concerto Italiano" di Bach.
