Craig, I was not being dismissive in saying that smoothed effects were "de rigeur" just trying to say it is getting to be a bit of a visual cliche. But as I said (above) it worked nicely in your beautiful photo. I do happen to prefer the other visual cliche--the kind of completely arrested motion you get with electronic flash, although your choice is obviously better here. Chacun a son gout. Thanks for suggesting we might get there together one day. I'd love that!

Craig, I like the distance the lighting creates with the foliage and the falls on the right and the darker, almost background-like part on the left; A very rich image, as if there were so many waterfalls that it would have been impossible to catch them all in one frame. (maybe there are....!) A very romantic place, heaven on earth..... I've been scruitinising this photo on and off since you posted it, and I keep looking for a single point that attracts the attention, but there isn't any. A great shot! Very well done, my compliments!

I've always wanted to try my hand at this famous waterfall but have never managed to get there (bit out of the way, isn't it). This is very good, as I've heard (and can imagine) how difficult it is. It's a pity that the mist or the lighting or SOMEthing is making the contrast over the whole LH two-thirds of the picture a little low. Your long exposure has worked nicely to give that smoothed effect which seems to be de rigeur in scenes with flowing water. [grin]
