I can see why perhaps this stately creature was chosen as a symbol by the United States. Splendid in-flight photo of this bird showing, in a single frame, such characteristics as gracefulness, strength, purpose, and fearlessness. Good complimentary backgound too. Nice choice as POD. Congrats!

What a awesome shot Harry! So much detail in the feathers, nice crop that allows room for the eagle to visually fly into. What really works the best is the eye, the lighting is in the perfect spot to allow its eye to really stand out. Not only do you see a eagle flying, searching for its meal but you can see his thoughts and soul through his eyes. Id love to see this in full print. Great pictures on your site.

If you dont mind me asking do you set your F5 manually for these great shots or do you use auto? Spot metering, 3d matrix, center? Id love to get the 500mm for my F5, perhaps one of these days.. your pictures really enspire me to get one soon so I can get up and personal with some of natures greatest animals. Do you use a data back? Any other stuff youd like to share Id be happy to hear..

Roger

Wow! That is some shot. Great composition and fantastic capture of the eagles eye. Very sharp! Was this cropped at all or was this how it was captured on film?

Harry,
I really like this view of the eagle. Not too often one gets a shot from the top. Clarity and colors are just perfect. This is really an outstanding image. The only minor nit is the tail feathers are a little hot. How much do you like that 500mm lens, been thinking of getting that or the 600mm.
