About the cropping of the shoulder , I like to focus the faces. Shoulders, arms, backgroung are just to give an effect to the pict. I have pict where I just show half of the face. Thanks for coming here.
I love his expression. He either looks sad, mad, or frustrated with the photographer for making him stand there so long. ;-)
There seems to be some scanning issues, again, here, but I'll try to look beyond that, as we all have to do what we can with what we have.
All I can add is that the shoulder on the left could be a little more visible (not cropped as closely). But it certainly doesn't need to be. You have a great portrait of a child at that age where they'd rather do anything than sit in front of a camera.
