I get a different feeling from this..........to me it's silent and eerie, and maybe a little frightening. And I'm no stranger to beaches. Maybe it's the sharpness. Fascinating image, Roger!

I love this one Roger... i used to cruise the beaches in Syros, Greece when I lived there... I loved it in winter when noone was around. This image brings it all back to me in a really beautiful, thanks for that... ohoh I'm getting all nostalgic now, I better shut up pass the tissue, I'm starting to weep

Aha! Now we are getting those WIDES... great for big-scale landscapes, right? This is beautiful. Have to watch the horizons, though, don't you! So easy to get them curved (about the only place they aren't, unless you have a PC lens, is bang in the middle of the frame--before you crop, that is). If it's slight, you can kid yourself it's the curvature of the earth! I love the way you've used the disproportionately large foreground objects to create interesting patterns that add to the sense of depth. Tonality is a wee bit clumped towards the dark end--like it is in your portraits (where it works very well). But anyway, I love this. Hope you don't give up portraits entirely, though!

Sharks...no sharks...that's it, it's time for me to move. (With or without the wolves :) I like the motion of the water that you captured in the forefront.
