Yes, the subject isn't clear. The foregoround should be lighter for the effect to be complete.

I can see where you wanted this to go Mike but you got a few problems.....biggest problem is the torch and the gate post are fighting for dominance....two POF'S here...the gate post has the fence leading back to the torch and vice versa..both the post and the torch are symmetrically placed in the frame supporting the fight.....also not enough light in the scene to clearly discern the depth or breath of the actual fence or where it goes to and the foreground is too dark so the post nor torch is grounded, leaving them almost floating....
