About	Got my new Canon G5 and the weather was awful. So, I had to run around the apartment and find something interesting to shoot, and that was pretty much only my guitar. Quickly turned into a DOF excercise, something I've never tried or understood before. Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

great start, keep it up! You can also try shooting a singular string or fret with the others out of focus. I like your colors, but the blues maybe just a bit distracting; black and white is a cool option for guitars too.

I like the idea. In my opinion you should have made the focus clearer; like try to focus on one of those "things" at the top of the guitar. Also I would have tried with a uniform background. The colors are maybe a bit distracting.
