I don't get the relatively low ratings for this shot and the others, During and After. I think if you take the three together you get a real character study of this guy. But even in isolation, each of the three say something really clear about this guy, which is (IMO) one of the principal purposes of portraiture. As I look at this, I see a guy who is strong-willed, has opinions on lots of things, and who might be a little bit alienated. Then, as I move on to During and After, this seems to play out with him in being in action on the topic of the day and then expressing some kind of vindication of his position at the end. Maybe my interpretation is wrong, but the point is that these photos really say something. Excellent job.
