Like this a lot... I can feel the windchill! Tack-sharp for being shot with brisk winds....night shot must be a useful feature!

Love it. I personally think the placement of the tree is perfect, even though it doesn't follow the traditional rules of composition. Susan

I agree with Barbara on the crop, but I would also take more off the top, too, because the extra sky on top adds nothing. And nothing needs be added to this wonderful image. It gains by subtraction and simplification. Remember, less is usually more!

Thanks for everyone's comments.
The dead-center composition has raised a few objections. To clarify, the base of the trunk is centered, but the tree sways rightward. What I saw at the scene was a gigantic Bonsai and wanted to convey that feeling through a similar illustrative composition.

I think this would have been a bit better if composed to one side , But none the less it is a beautiful scene. The small branches on the left are a little distracting

Simple and beautiful, excellent exposure of the snow. I would also prefer if the tree wasn't dead center, but still a stunning image.

the dead center compo does not work for me ... not with 1/2 of a bush on the left
but other wise WOW...... cool shot... great colors
