Well then I can say that you actually do have gorgeous eyes, the kind of eyes that woo the hearts of men and melt them into nothing much.....

I think that you should take more self portraits, not only with your cellphone, because your eyes are really fantastic!!! You have an interesting and charming glance, both for colors pic and for B/W, hope to see it in a future ;) Bye Max

Interesting in that it doesn't "look" loke a self-portrait. A different and creative crop.
Well, fellow F5 shooter (I have an F5, D100 and Hassy system, overkill, I know), I would be happy to share what little I know about selective color. Do you have Photoshop? If so, email me at bike_tourist@yahoo.com and I will tell you how I do it with PS.

Mandy.. you asked me about my water drop photo and what I did and could I share that with you. Being a film shooter you must know all about shutter speeds and lighting..I am a digital photographer and plied my self diligenty for three four years doing a variety of things with lighting(all natural) and settings to my camera.. in the beginning I was limited only by the equipment I owned.. that has changed considerably I started out by wanting to photograph birds, and have gone the way of a landscape artist.... not by design by any stretch of the imagination. I simply live in a place that allows this to unfurl like a good painting. The water drop series that I did was over three years ago and I guess I have averaged 200-6oo phots on any given days since then.I still like the creative side that borders on impossible; the only thing is now I try to step outide the box with macros(sometimes) and mostly natural scenic displays such as canyons, deserts and contrasts. This photo of yours is soft on the edges with a slight blurring to one side of your face. Having said this Mandy I have to identify that I am not a people photographer and this may be a desired effect.

Looks like you used a wide angle lens. Kind of looks distorted. The portrait doesn't do anything for me. The eyes are so intense. Amazing.
