The cool thing about that is there is and isn't a sense of scale, that could be a huge tree, or it could be a twig. the waves give a sense of what happened during the night. So ones imagination can bring alot to it.

Chels, I love the feeling of flow that exudes from this image. The interplay of light and shadow pull the viewer right into the scenery.
The sharp detail and shadow of the plant is a nice counterplay to the snow.
If you had not explained that this was snow, I might have guessed it was on the beach. The grain and texture seem to suggest sand, but maybe that is because I have about 10 minutes life experience with snow compared to slightly more with sandy beaches!
