About In the North of Tehran the peaks of the mountains tower above the city. Descending, you become slowly aware of the polution of Irans' capital. Part II: City in sight. For those, who commented on the first one of this tryptich, it is not a desert landscape, but a snowscape....:) Furthermore, We were hiking down from 3000 meters (first photo in this tryptich) to 1600 meters. This shot was taken at about 2100 meters. Still quite alot of fresh snow..., gradually changing from the crisp white to dirty brown... So no airplanes involved, nor any trace of desert.... Your comments are, as always, appreciated!

Cheers,

Hugo

i like how the light is brighter further away from the city... and is brighter in the mountains. It gives the photo great contrasts and a even better mood.. nice work

Groeten, Lex

Echt heel mooi werk!

Hugo, a good series again! I like this one best, the other two images are also nice but more 'general'. This one illustrates your story. The contrast between the clean mountain and the dirty city is very well expressed.

All three are exceptional, but for me this one is the best in the series! It's very fascinating how the natural and man-made worlds meet like that!

Dear Hugo ... what an excellent shot. I love this type of photos... The smog and the light make very beautiful all the scene...
And the eyes ... have to follow .... to the town...great DOF !
Ciao.
Tommy.

Very nice series of photos, I noticed that they are decending untill we see a wide view of the city. Great idea!

Thank you for the comment. I agree that there is no contrast between the forks and shadows, but I had to darken the shadows though. The other arrangements were linear and were not dynamic like the one I posted.

PS: I hope this site developes a private messaging system!

Amazing colors.. One feels to be in the snow...It must have been a great expirience to climb... From the reality of the scene, I think you trully captured what you saw, which is extemelly difficult. I am no expert, but it is amazing to the eyes... Keep on with this kind of work.

Excellent photo. You've captured both the mountains and the city
in a very dramatic photo. The smog looks horrendous. I've never
seen how it could make a mess of snow like that. It must have
been difficult to breathe that air! Amazing shot!

Wow... HUGO you climbed really high! Very nice perspectiv and comp. I like very much contrast beteween clear mountains and city -- that's great idea! This litle clouds adds a "cherry" to this photo. Good job my frend! Best Regards.
