About Seeking suggestions on ways to get good shots of clouds. I know the landscapes themselves aren't that great, but I only had a short time to try these today. All critiques welcomed good or bad.

Rebecca, you have done an excellent job of capturing the clouds in this shot. I don't think it could be done any better. And, the landscape portion is also very good.

Jimmy
P.S. To answer your question about a polarizer on your film camera - the answer is most definitely. If your camera has autofocus, you'll need a circular polarizer (C-PL). If it's manual focus, a standard one(PL)will do and they're much cheaper. They have the most effect on the sky that is 90 degrees from the sun. The filter rotates and as you turn it, you'll see the effect it has. Hope this helps.

Rebecca, I'd be delighted to have your clouds in a photo of mine. For me, it is a fine line between giving the sky a dramatic feeling and making it look overly manipulated. You're right on here, IMO.

Hi Rebecca, I think your clouds look great! But because you asked i itried very quickly to do a grad filter effect in PS on the clouds. This way you can help the contrast a little more. Other than that using your filter helps - which of course you did. Thanks for your comment on "View from Strome". It's a little too blue, i think when i look at it now! All the best from Switzerland, Neil

I think your clouds look great. Of course I may not have the discerning eye that others do. Take it for what it's worth!
