Kristina, I know the feeling! Here it seems like winter will never end...And Yes, kids eat snow in the U.S. as well but the parents don't seem to mind. Here it's one of the better things thay can be doing.

I?m here just to give a big kiss to my favourite crossedeyes swedish girl!!! ;) I see you have still a lot of snow (it was snowing also here today) and this lets you take a nice photo, there are some shadows on his face, but they do not bother because the grey tones are very good, I like this portrait, the sharpness is excellent. I don?t know when I?ll can return here with my pics, life is strange and curious, just when I took a period of rest, new problems came, my mother-in-law has a fractured shoulder and she needs a continuos help, so Graziella and me are working all day long. But don?t worry, I?ll certainly come back!!! :)))

A nice informal portrait with great tonal range and clarity.
It snows here once every decade, but this was not the year. I remember having arrived in Stockholm in winter at midnight about 1960. I wandered around the city in a snow storm, trying to find a hotel that would open up and take me in. Yes, it snows in Sweden!

How rude I am, Richard! I talk about poo and bananas and everything, but I'm not answering the question! About sharpening, yes I do put just a little bit most of the times. But trying to not put much because I don't like when it looks over sharpened. It gets grainy in a strange way.

Richard, don't be disgusting... haha... I hate yellow snow!! (Dog wee snow!) But what I really really hate is when snow is melting and all dog poo that was hidden under snow comes up! That is really so disgusting! Although, I have to say that swedes are still very good at picking up dog poo after their dogs. I don't know if it's a law to do it or if it's just common sense, but people are quite good at it. And the ones who don't pick it up gets angry looks and comments from others.
Bananas in pyjamas... Yes, they send it on tv here, but they have put on Swedish voice! Clever bananas, speak a lot of languages! ;-)

Nice texture detail in the hat and gloves, do you sharpen much after you downsize the image or is this "as is"?
