Caravans have been a popular subject of mine to photograph in a long time. They are of course as common as ever in Australia, and what does the family who has to have everything do with the old caravan when they up grade for the third generation. Put it in the garden or out in the back shed. This one above sits in a shed in Tasmania, just visible from the main road. It was lovingly well looked after, even had an old portable record player and complete set of old 45rpm Country and Western singles in it. I noticed this relic while bicycling touring the area, it would probably have gone unnoticed to many. But for me caravans have some shred of romance and are worth a thousand and one words, plus a picture.
