Country - Netherlands   Netherlands
About Taking during the 'Architecture' workshop of our photography course in Rotterdam. Rotterdam is the only city in the Netherlands that has a kind of 'metropolitan' look. The origin lies in the Second World War: the city suffered from heavy bombardments then. After the war, almost the complete city centre had to rebuilt. Our assignment was to portrait the modern (and often tall) buildings in the city centre. There were two constraints to challenge us: we had to make triptychs, and the photos had to be landscape format :)

Wow! There's something different, Hermen! Looking at this shot, I feel like I'm at a complete stand still with my work.... This is going to be good, very good.... The high saturation in colours is excellent, and I feel compelled to take back whatever I said in my last extensive email. Outstanding job, my compliments.

Cheers,

Hugo
