About
Mt Olga reaches some 1070m, not a mere rock as it appears but indeed a decent mountain. These strange feature now well known world wide are amoungst my favorite peaks. The first time was some 18 years before, this image was taken, on a school trip, where I actually then captured a good picture through a AU$30 200mm telephoto of cloud capping the tops of these giant stones. On the second visit I had less restriction on my 4915Km Melbourne to Darwin Bicycling Trek. I would have wished once again to see cloud capping those mountain tops, however I had the pleasure of bringing my trustful Pentax K1000 along with me once more.
Shows off the strange landscape very well, with its range of desert colours and textures. It's a favourite place of mine too, Sean. I'll be making my third visit in a couple of weeks time. Impressive bike ride you did!!
