Glad my ancestry shows in my photos as well as in my face. While I enjoy a bright blue sky there is something very comforting about these lush colors for me as well.

'corse i was right : Engeström is not english neither your i mean the ambiences i see in your photography is Swedish.....this is an amazing photo where you criate a kinda warmth with these so called cold colors, i love the photo in everything the subtility of colors , the smile of the joung whoman, the blured separation of sky and earth is the clue for this great photo
and tour face doesnt looks english.....but northern !!

Hello Dirck - you are absolutely right. I might go for just taking down the brightness way down, but it is certainly the proverbial sore thumb. In somebody elses photograph I'd probably would have picked it up right away, but you get blind to own work... Thanks.

Hi Stefan! I like this casual and natural look in a portrait, and you captured the cool, damp mood beautifully - very dramatic! I love the wisp of hair floating about her face. The only thing that I find a bit jarring is the bright white of her hood liner - just for kicks I tried matching it to the rest of her coat to keep the tones more evenly dark... what do you think?
