Mark,
I honestly like your digital image of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse better even though I only believe in shooting film. The composition of this image reminds me of how much danger the lighthouse was in from the appraching sea (such a sad thought). Also I prefer the grey color in your digital image (looked more realistic). I have shot provia before and was disappointed in the blueness of the film. I prefer Astia 100f because I believe the color of Astia is more accurate. Question: Was this image made on the same night near the same time of your digital image?

Great capture, the water and sky have become a sort of mist. A well managed and good idea for a photograph. Congratulations.

I'd love to say something constructive but the only thought that resonates in my mind as I look at this photo is 'time cancels out the differences between sky and water'. Quite a spooky effect in some ways, but certainly a very interesting one.
