This was in the reject pile? Am I reading that right? I'e totally enjoyed this entire series and remain amazed at how much talent you have to see the unique and make it happen... this one really stands out with it's odd shape, swirling detail and great colour.
What are your plans with this series? Have you ever done gallery shows? I can see these blown up on white walls (hmm, I say that often for your work!) and people paying a ton for them!
Love that diagonal line reaching from the sphere to the top right corner!

Glad you like it Becky - I was happy to find this one myself as I went through the rejects of this little "project". This is a view from above of a glass dish with shallow water. The white is simply the light table I use for background. As you rotate the hue map white stays white...

How in the world did you manage to get that dark ball of dye looking so spherical and . . . contained?! I would expect dyes in water to slowly explode, not implode. Crazy!
I love the colour manip here. The burned orange on white is very effective and makes this photo look like a cross between a painting and a 3D render. Rather stunning. How did you manage to get the white background?

Thanks again Telmo - I really like this one as well. It almost got away too - saw it while burning (to CD) the hundreds of images that I shot for this project :-)

... FAV. Breathless... A creature loosing it's old shell... Growing... Breathless... You should sell this series for advertising on some dyes factory... I can figure it out like "The power of creation is in our dyes" by Stephan Engstrom. Tell me about it later! ;-))) Hugs dear friend!
