About
These comorant chicks were born in the day that we were shooting at the site. I took this shot with a 400mm lens plus 2 stacked teleconvertors for an effective focal length of 1120mm at f11. Minimum apeture with both extenders. I dont normally stack convertors due to loss of image quality, but I was pleased with this one, considering the alternative was no shot at all.
Great capture, Bob! This image is all the convincing I need to show that a long telephoto can be a big help to access to some shots. I love the chick on the left mirrors the mom's position.
There was not too much sharpness loss from the teleconverters. Looks like it worked out for you.
This is not a bad picture at all. Actually a very good picture, I get less then this many time without the extenders. You have captured a beautiful nature shot. Congrads Lee
