About	Up early this morning, walked out on the deck to have coffee. Had a sudden realization that, while I love NY all the time, NY while it's waking up is really something special. So, I did what photographers do, and hopefully this picture does some justice to what I saw with my own eyes.

This is a beautifully composed shot, with the ferry just reaching the point on the horizontal axis where the buildings end, with the wake continuing a line to the right edge of the frame. The edge of the inlet on the right just reaching the line of the land's end of the city. Perfectly balanced. And then there's that magical lighting... Excellent shot.
