these bricks surround the base of a stature of a soldier.

thats exactly what i was thinking to myself, "everyone and their brother probably takes pictures of the statue, so i'm gonna shoot these bricks down here."

good lighting and nice effect. interesting idea for a war memorial as well, different from the traditional structure. various shots deviating from the norm always make good photos.

Very nice photo! I like the diagonal composition, as well as the variation in hues of the bricks, with the two most vivid being at the center of interest. Nice use of lighting!
