About	Taken in the Sierra National Forest in California. This branch of the dogwood tree was in a patch of sunlight in the midst of a redwood grove; the dark object behind it is the trunk of a redwood tree.

This is a great picture of a wild flower. I like the lighting and the dark background that really brings out the white of the flower.
