About	I believe this burn area is a result of a fire near Hetch Hetchy in Yosemite during 1996. I thought the dark storm clouds as a backdrop made it much more interesting than if the sky had been bright and sunny. Shutter speed actually 1/750 Aperture f6.0

Thanks Gregory! I did have it printed at 11x14; it looks great, so now I'm thinking of going even larger! lol

I'm going back to Yosemite on Tuesday (I hope . . . I've been trying for two weeks, but that darn work keeps getting in the way). I plan to hike to Wapama Falls on the Hetch Hetch reservoir--I'm very excited to go again. This'll be my last trip until the fall since I just can't handle all the crowds during the summer.

The darker sky suits the burnt trees. Isn't it great to see the new saplings?

I recall the devastation the fires had on Yellowstone National Park.
