Question: is this underexposed? I like the colors, but then I tend to like them darker. All critiques and comments welcome.

This is the same bridge from another image I posted recently. It's no longer open to traffic but was restored for use as a footbridge. I thought the ironwork pattern was very cool and couldn't resist the green against the sky.

To my usefilm friends--sorry I haven't been posting/replying to comments. Work has been overwhelming the last week, but I do appreciate your comments and promise to reply this weekend.

no, i like the saturation . . . .the green bridge against the blue sky. Aren't the colors of the California foothills wonderful?

Splendid DoF. Beautiful deep blue sky with the wonderful lines of dark green contrasting.

Anne: I like the exposure of this one. It has a full range of values and one can ask no more than that.

Hi Anne, you are up late!! :-))

Just thought of something to get those pesky Fuschia plants to stay the way you want them - take a couple of bulldog clips and clip them out the way. You don't need to pinch the stems (they would probably break) but you could hold them in the "gap" of the clip for the short while you are photographing.

Hi Linn,

Thanks for the feedback on the colors here--I'm starting to second-guess myself now, but, darn it . . . I just plain like them with the richness that a little underexposure gives! lol I'm still working toward the "perfect" fuschia portrait.

Regards,
Anne

Teunis,

I have to confess that I was inspired by your "rain is coming" and "rain is go away" images. I thought of them when I saw the lines on this bridge. Thanks for your comment!

Regards,
Anne

Morning Anne,
For me, the lighting is just right in this one. I like the heavy greens on the bridge structure. Great capture of the lines!
